SOCAR, Romgaz ink agreement on gas transportation from Azerbaijan to Romania

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Romania's Romgaz signed an agreement on gas transportation of up to one billion cubic meters from Azerbaijan to Romania in 2023-2024 on Friday within the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council, Report informs, citing SOCAR.

The agreement follows the document signed between SOCAR and Romgaz on October 19 and December 16, 2022.

The documents that ensure the formation of the legal basis of relations in the field of energy between the two countries will expand the export geography of Azerbaijani gas and will make an important contribution to the further strengthening of cooperation between the countries, as well as to the energy security and the green energy strategy of Europe.
