SOCAR discusses development of hydrocarbon resources with Venezuelan companies

On November 13, 2023, the President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Azerbaijan, Christopher Alberto Martinez Berroteran, Report informs, referring to SOCAR.

The sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the energy sector between the countries at the meeting. Moreover, information was provided on global energy projects implemented at the initiative of Azerbaijan, and SOCAR's multifaceted activities and long-term strategic goals were discussed.

Within the framework of the meeting, ideas were exchanged between SOCAR and Venezuelan companies on the issues of cooperation in the oil and gas sector, the development of hydrocarbon resources, as well as the organization of mutual experience exchange in the field of decarbonization and personnel training.
