SOCAR begins airborne gravity surveys on land for first time

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has begun airborne gravity surveys on land for the first time in collaboration with the well-known British company Metatek, Report informs via SOCAR.
This method allows obtaining high-precision data from vast territories in a short time.
The research will utilize the latest eFTG technology from the world-renowned company LockheedMartin, and a 3D terrain model will be obtained using magnetic measurements and LiDAR technology.
The obtained results will allow gathering more detailed information about underground rocks and structures, as well as detecting oil, gas, and other natural resources.
