SOCAR and ADNOC discuss cooperation in decarbonization efforts

Rovshan Najaf, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Musabbeh Al Kaabi, the Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for Low-Carbon Solutions and International Growth.

According to Report, which cites the company, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in the realm of energy transition and decarbonization, as well as exchanging views on other matters of mutual interest.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the progress made towards expanding the successful cooperation between the two companies. In this context, the importance of the agreements on SOCAR's acquisition of a 3% stake in the SARB and Umm Lulu fields and the sale of a 30% stake in the Absheron gas condensate field was emphasized.
