Production and scientific company LG Automatika plans to return to the Azerbaijan market and resume cooperation with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the company's General Director Mikhail Zilonov told Report.
He noted that the company has been developing and manufacturing control and shut-off valves, as well as control devices for the oil, gas, chemical, defense, energy and other industries for more than 30 years.
"We intend to re-enter the Azerbaijan market as a Russian manufacturer, offering competitive and specialized equipment. Previously, we already had experience cooperating with SOCAR, and we aim to restore this partnership. SOCAR is a key player in Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry, and we are interested in participating in various projects of the company. We cannot disclose details yet, but it's about equipment supplies. We are not just manufacturers – we design, manufacture, test equipment on our own test benches, and develop projects for various installations. Deep drilling is actively developing in Azerbaijan, and there are tasks in this area related to large pressure differentials. In the near future, we have scheduled meetings with SOCAR to discuss possible cooperation," noted Zilonov.
He also emphasized that import substitution processes continue in Russia, and a similar approach could be relevant for Azerbaijan.
"Why not purchase equipment of similar quality at more favorable and affordable prices? Everything depends on the willingness of enterprises to consider such offers. As soon as such readiness appears, we are ready to become suppliers," he added.
