Production of gasoline and diesel fuel down in Azerbaijan

In January-March 2025, 337,000 tons of automotive gasoline were produced in Azerbaijan, 12.4% less than in the first quarter of 2024, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Overall, in January-March, Azerbaijan produced petroleum derivatives with a total value of 1.26 billion manats ($741.18 billion), 7% less than in the same period of the previous year.

In the first 3 months of 2025, 552,900 tons of diesel fuel were produced in the country, which is 7.8% less than in January-March of last year.

During the mentioned period, 9,200 tons of lubricants and 40,400 tons of petroleum bitumen were produced. In the first 3 months of last year, the production of lubricants in Azerbaijan decreased by 36.6%, and the production of petroleum bitumen by 21.4%.

Also, in the first quarter, the country produced 56,900 tons of liquefied gases, 148,800 tons of kerosene and 45,700 tons of petroleum coke. Over the past year, the production of liquefied gases in Azerbaijan has decreased by 4.5%, the production of petroleum coke by 25.2%, and the production of kerosene by 6.8%.
