Mustafa Gurbanli: SOCAR strives to reduce flaring to zero by 2030

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) aims to reduce flaring to zero by 2030, the head of the department at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Mustafa Gurbanli, said during a media tour to the SOCAR Ecological Park, organized for media representatives on the occasion of National Press Day and the 30th anniversary of the Contract of the Century.

According to Report, he noted that in this regard, SOCAR is measuring its emissions, and issues of wind, solar energy and green hydrogen are being studied.

Gurbanli added that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan has been undergoing a process of transformation from an oil and gas company into an energy corporation for more than a year and a half.
