MP: Azerbaijan intends to increase share of renewable energy to 30%

Azerbaijan plans to increase the share of renewables to 30% by 2030, MP Soltan Mammadov said as he spoke at the committee session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan, Report informs.
"There are such capacities in the Karabakh district of our country - solar power, wind power. We can also use the potential of the Caspian Sea. It is also important for various economic sectors, especially the energy sector. Based on our experience, we are now developing a bill to come effective in July this year," the parliament member said.
