Minister: Launch of '8 November' Power Plant strengthens industrial cooperation between Baku and Rome

The launch of the November 8 Power Plant in Mingachevir opens up new prospects for industrial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, Italian Minister for Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso said on X, Report informs.

The minister noted that the power plant, built in cooperation between Azerenerji JSC and the Italian Ansaldo Energia, was constructed in record time.

"I am pleased to be back in Azerbaijan, just two years after the laying of the first stone, for the opening of the new combined cycle power plant in Mingachevir, built by the Azerbaijani company Azerenerji in cooperation with Ansaldo Energia. The state-of-the-art plant, completed in record time thanks to the Italian contribution, is a decisive step towards achieving Azerbaijan’s energy and environmental goals. This project strengthens the already strong energy cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan and opens up new prospects for cooperation even in the industrial field in the field of steel, green technologies and critical raw materials," Urso said.
