Lukoil becomes full member of SWAP project

The Russian oil and gas company Lukoil has become a full partner of the project for the exploration and development of shallow water around the Absheron Peninsula (SWAP) in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Deputy Head of the Public Relations Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Ibrahim Ahmadov told Report.
The company joined the project by completing a deal, which was agreed in September 2021, to acquire a 25% stake in the project from the operator, British BP.
