Turkiye offered the US and the EU to consider the possibility of pumping gas from Iraq and Iran to Europe when launching a gas hub on Turkish territory, Turkish presidential spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin said on January 14 at a meeting with representatives of foreign media, Report informs referring to TASS.
“We will have the opportunity to include [gas supplies to Europe] from Iraq, from Turkmenistan through TANAP. I even suggested to some European and American colleagues that at some point it will be possible to include gas supplies from Iran in this energy map. I know that it may sound too radical, but why not. The situation is changing, but energy remains in demand,” he said.
