Iraqi oil minister: Ceyhan pipeline exports to resume in coming days

Iraqi oil exports via the Ceyhan pipeline (Türkiye) will resume today or tomorrow, the country's Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, Report informs.

"A number of projects have been launched in Kirkuk province to develop and restore oil stations. Today or tomorrow, we will resume oil exports via the Turkish Ceyhan pipeline. At the initial stage, the export volume will be 80 thousand barrels per day, after concluding an agreement with Kurdistan," he noted.

According to him, it was possible to increase the capacity of the oil pumping station by 25,600 barrels per day. "The total capacity of the station in northern Kirkuk has now reached 90,000 barrels per day," the minister said.

The Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline stopped working in February 2023 after a strong earthquake.
