German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shaiyaa Sabbar Al-Soudani have discussed issues related to possible gas supplies at a meeting in Berlin, Report informs referring to TASS.
“We also talked about possible gas supplies to Germany. We agreed to maintain intensive contact on this matter,” the chancellor said, without giving any additional information on this matter.
Germany doesn’t receive pipeline gas from Russia after the explosion at the Nord Stream. Germany is now dependent on the supply of liquefied gas, looking for new suppliers and building LNG terminals.
