Gas prices on European markets rise slightly

Exchange prices for gas in Europe rose slightly on April 15, Report informs referring to the London ICE exchange.
May futures on the TTF index (the largest hub in Europe, located in the Netherlands) opened trading at $407.9 per 1,000 cubic meters (+0.5%).
The dynamics of quotes is given from the settlement price of the previous trading day - $405.8 per 1,000 cubic meters.
The average cost of gas futures on the European exchange last year was $386.5, which is 16.3% lower than a year earlier.
Gas prices were significantly higher in 2021-2022. Such consistently high prices have not been seen in the entire history of gas hubs in Europe - since 1996. Quotes reached a historical record of $3,892 per 1,000 cubic meters in early spring 2022.
