Gas output in Turkmenistan at end-year to be 80 BCM

Gas production in Turkmenistan by the end of this year is expected to be over 80 billion cubic meters, of which Turkmengaz will account for about 73 billion cubic meters, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Murat Archayev said at the international conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan,” Report informs referring to Interfax.

In 2022, the country produced 82.7 billion cubic meters of gas.

He noted that gas exports this year are projected at about 40 billion cubic meters, of which about 35 billion cubic meters will be supplied by Turkmengaz.

China will remain the main export destination, with more than 30 billion cubic meters transported there. Deliveries are also made to Uzbekistan, Russia and Azerbaijan. There is a swap contract with Iran for up to 3 billion cubic meters per year.
