ECO Clean Energy Center to be established in Azerbaijan

An agreement has been reached to establish a Clean Energy Center of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Azerbaijan, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said at a meeting of ECO foreign ministers today, Report informs.
"The center is going to be established as part of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's (UNIDO) Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers," the Turkish minister said.
In addition, Çavuşoğlu said that the ECO Trade and Development Bank (ECOBANK) is another important institution in need of support.
“The bank's institutional and financial capacity must be increased. We invite all ECO members to join the bank,” he added.
