The inclusion of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project in the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity's (ENTSO-E) Ten-Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) has been discussed, Report informs.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Cristina Lobillo Borrero, Director for Energy Platform and International Relations at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy, who was visiting Baku to participate in the 30th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Baku Energy Forum.
The parties discussed the role of the strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union in ensuring energy security and opportunities for expanding this cooperation.
The meeting also reviewed issues related to the development of infrastructure for the export of natural gas and renewable energy from Azerbaijan to Europe.
In particular, along with the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor, the progress and prospects of the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye-Bulgaria and Central Asia-Azerbaijan green energy interconnector projects were also discussed.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on priority issues on the agenda of the third session of the Azerbaijan-European Union High-Level Energy Dialogue, which will be held in Brussels in the coming days.
