Brent falls to $89.37

Oil prices are edging down slightly on Friday morning following fairly significant gains at the end of the previous session, Report informs, citing Interfax.
According to data as of 9:12 AM (GMT+4), October futures for Brent crude on the London-based ICE Futures exchange are trading at $89.37 per barrel, which is $0.33 (0.37%) lower than at the close of the previous trading session. On Thursday, they rose by $1.86 (2.1%) to $89.7 per barrel.
October WTI crude futures on electronic trading at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) fell by $0.25 (0.3%) to $83.28 per barrel by this time. Following the previous session, their cost increased by $1.3 (1.6%) to $83.53 per barrel.
The day before, oil prices were supported by a statement from White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt that the US is not conducting any negotiations with Iran and intends to continue applying economic pressure on the country until President Donald Trump feels Tehran is ready to return to constructive dialogue.
