BP official: 'We are trying to hire more young people'

BP is trying to hire more young people, especially recent graduates, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, the company's vice-president for communication and external relations in the Caspian region, said at the II Annual Innovation Summit organized by PASHA Holding LLC and supported by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in Baku, Report informs.

"Certain stereotypes have been formed regarding the involvement of educated people in cooperation. I believe that an energy company should take on several obligations. For example, as BP, we have committed to implementing the Zero carbon policy by 2050 and uploading data to the cloud system. I believe that an outstanding result can be achieved when the education and knowledge of the young generation is combined with the experience of older engineers," he said.

The BP official also noted that the launch of the support block of the Azeri-Central-Eastern platform to the sea might affect the increase in production.

"This means an increase in income, and we can reinvest part of those funds in decarbonization."
