BP-Azerbaijan continues to operate despite strong winds

Despite the strong winds observed in Baku and Absheron, BP-Azerbaijan continues operations as normal within offshore oil and gas projects, Tamam Bayatli, head of the public relations department of BP-Azerbaijan, told Report.
She noted that BP and its partners have special rules for safe work in adverse weather conditions, especially outdoors.
“These rules are strictly observed at all our offshore facilities,” Bayatli said.
The National Hydrometeorology Service, the speed of the northwest wind in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula increased to 33 m/s. According to the Oil Rocks station, the wave height in the Caspian Sea was 4 meters.
