Azerbaijan sees over 48% surge in export of petroleum products

In January 2025, Azerbaijan exported 41,645 tons of petroleum products, valued at just over $19.14 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
According to the customs declarations, the exports grew by 48.4 percent in volume and rose by 9.8 percent in value compared to January 2024.
The share of petroleum products in Azerbaijan’s total exports for the reporting period was 0.63%.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with other countries worth just over $5.09 billion in January 2025. Of that, $3.038 billion accounted for exports and $2.052 billion fell to imports. Over the past year, exports increased by 64.8 percent, while imports grew by 79.7 percent.
