Azerbaijan’s urea exports to Ukraine soar

In January 2025, Azerbaijan exported 73,492 tons of urea, valued at $21 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 15% and 2-fold, respectively, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan sold urea to:
- Ukraine: 65,427 tons (+5.5 times) worth $18.86 million (+10 times);
- Romania: 5,072 tons (-81%) worth $1.36 million (-68%);
- Türkiye: 2,992 tons (-86%) worth $808,000 (-78%).
Meanwhile, in 2024, Azerbaijan exported a total of 564,922 tons of urea, of which 50% went to Ukraine.
