Azerbaijan's methanol exports down over 10%

Azerbaijan exported 140,635.3 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $30,951,820 in January-April 2023, respectively, down 10.5% and 38.8% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
The share of methanol in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports amounted to 2.61 %. During the reporting period, the percentage of methanol in a primary form in the country's total exports amounted to 0.25%.
In January-April 2023, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $17.883 billion. Export operations amounted to $12.585 billion, while import operations made up $5.298 billion.
