Azerbaijan's gas supply to Italy increased by over 2% in Jan.-Nov.2024

Gas supply from Azerbaijan to Italy through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) amounted to 9.383 billion cubic meters during January-November 2024, Report informs, citing Italy's Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.

This figure is 2.2% more compared to the same period of 2023.

In total, during the first 11 months of 2024, the country imported 53.949 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 0.6% less year-on-year. During this period, the share of the Azerbaijan's gas in it was 17.4%.

The ministry reported that in November, Azerbaijan's gas supply to Italy amounted to 902 million cubic meters (2.3% more YoY).

At the same time, in November, Azerbaijan's gas supply to Italy accounted for 14.3% of this country's total gas imports, which was estimated at 6.319 billion cubic meters (10% more).

Azerbaijan began exporting gas to Europe on December 31, 2020.
