Azerbaijan's annual gas production up by 18%

In 2021, Azerbaijan produced 43.9 billion cubic meters of gas, 2.9 billion cubic meters or 7% more than forecast, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.
An increase from 2020 made 6.7 billion cubic meters, or 18.1%.
Last year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 7.9 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 28.2 million cubic meters, or 0.4% less than forecast.
In 2021, 13.4 billion cubic meters of gas was produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block, 1.8 billion cubic meters, or 15.9% more than forecast.
Also, 22.6 billion cubic meters of gas was extracted from the Shah Deniz field, which is 1.1 billion cubic meters, or 5% more than forecast.
