Azerbaijan resumes kerosene imports from three countries

In the first ten months of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 12,606 tons of kerosene fuel (except for kerosene fuel for jet engines) for $16.543 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2021, this is 4.7 times more in value terms and 4.2 times more in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 8,975 tons of kerosene fuel from the Netherlands for $5.506 million, 2,570 tons (-14.3%) from Belgium for $4.059 million (+16%), 4,333 tons from Turkmenistan for $3.167 million, 178 tons (+162 times) from Italy for $235,930 (+53 times), 6.84 tons (+17 times) from Germany $45,740 (+12 times).
Azerbaijan resumed the supply from Turkmenistan after one year and nine months, from France after one year and seven months, and from China after one year and six months. Some 0.03 tons of kerosene worth $270 and 0.35 tons worth $1,170 were brought from France and China, respectively.
Some 66.5% of the 4,511 tons of kerosene brought to Azerbaijan from 14 countries last year were purchased from Belgium.
