Azerbaijan nearly doubles electricity production

Azerbaijan exported 2,546.8 million kWh of electricity and imported 126.3 million kWh in January-November 2022, respectively, up 1.8 times and 10.4% from the same period in 2021, Report informs, citing the Energy Ministry.
In November alone, electricity exports made up 448.9 million kWh, up 216.9 million kWh, or 91.9%, from the previous year. The imports stood at 10.5 million kWh, 0.1 million kWh, or 0.96%, higher than in the same period in 2021.
In the reporting period, the electricity production across the country made up 26,260.3 million kWh, showing a 978.2 million kWh or 3.9% growth in comparison to a year earlier.
In November, Azerbaijan produced 2.506 billion kWh of electricity, 96 million kWh or 4% more than a year ago.
