Azerbaijan, Moldova mull perspective energy projects

Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

According to Report, it was noted that the protocol signed on the results of the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Moldova Intergovernmental Commission held in Baku will stimulate the development of cooperation in the energy sector between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the gas supply opportunities between Azerbaijan and Moldova and prospective solutions for ensuring energy security during the energy crisis currently faced by Moldova.

Also, information was provided on the export of electricity to Europe, the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania-Hungary Black Sea underwater electrical and digital connection project, the development of joint projects in the field of electricity supply, as well as other bilateral cooperation issues were discussed.
