Azerbaijan increases gas production by 2.5%

Azerbaijan produced 8.2 bcm of natural gas in January-February 2024, up 240 million cubic meters, or 2.5%, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.
Of this, 2.1 bcm was extracted from ACG (down 0.1 bcm, or 4.6%, from a year earlier), 4.5 bcm from Shah Deniz (+0.1 bcm, or 2.3%), and 0.3 bcm from the Absheron field.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 1.3 bcm of gas in the reporting period, showing a 0.1 bcm, or 7.2%, increase compared to the same period in 2023.
