Azerbaijan discloses volume of transit oil transported via BTC pipeline in January

In January 2025, 3.2 million tons of oil were transported through Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines, 1.8% less compared to the indicator of 2024, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the past period, 72.3% of transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline. Last month, 2.32 million tons of oil were transported through this pipeline, 6.7% less compared to January 2024.

During the reporting period, 83.1% or 1.9 million tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was oil produced in Azerbaijan, while 16.9% or 392.6 thousand tons was oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

During this period, the volume of Azerbaijani oil transported through the BTC pipeline decreased by 6.3%, while the volume of oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan dropped by 8.9%.
