Azerbaijan considering participation of Egyptian companies in green energy projects in Karabakh

The possibility of participation of Egyptian companies in the restoration and reconstruction projects on energy infrastructure, as well as the provision of energy supply through green energy in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, were discussed during the meeting between Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan, Hisham Mohamed Nagy Abdel Hamidi, Report informs, citing the ministry.

According to Shahbazov, representatives of the Egyptian private sector operating in the relevant field were invited to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the current relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt in the energy field. Information was given about the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan and implemented projects in the relevant field. It was emphasized that there are opportunities for expanding cooperation between public and private institutions in fields such as petrochemicals, liquefied natural gas, and renewable energy.
