Azerbaijan becomes second largest oil supplier to Czech Republic

Azerbaijan has significantly increased its oil exports to the Czech Republic in 2024, reaching 2.6 million tons, a 1.3-fold increase compared to the previous year, according to the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Report informs that the country now holds the second spot among oil suppliers to the Czech Republic, accounting for 40% of the country's total oil imports.
In 2024, the Czech Republic imported a total of 6.5 million tons of oil, a 12% decrease from 2023.
Russia saw a significant drop in its exports to the Czech Republic, with volumes falling 1.6-fold to 2.7 million tons. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan increased its oil exports to the Czech Republic 1.3-fold, reaching 1 million tons.
