Azerbaijan, China discuss implementation of energy storage systems

Azerbaijan has explored cooperation opportunities with Chinese companies to implement energy storage systems, according to Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry, Report informs.

The discussions took place during a meeting between Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation led by Zhu Bo, General Manager of the Eurasian Region, representing China Southern Power Grid Company and Powerchina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited.

At the meeting, information was shared about integrating green energy sources into Azerbaijan’s current electricity network as part of the expansion of renewable energy utilization.

Additionally, the opposite party presented proposals related to battery-type and hydropower-based energy storage systems, with a review of their specific features.
