Employees of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics have gone to the volcanic eruptive area

Baku. 13 February. REPORT.AZ/ The employees of the Department of Mud Volcanism of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS have left for the area where a volcano erupted in Shamakhi region, Head of department, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences, professor Adil Aliyev told Report.
He said that the staff are currently in the village of Gushchu, where eruption occurred: "The name of the volcano that erupted near Gushchu village is the Guschu volcano. We hope that the volcanic eruption has been not so strong."
The Republican Seismological Service Center under ANAS told Report that the volcano eruption was recorded at 06:25 local time: "The eruption lasted for 1 minute 30 seconds."
