Serdar Gundogan: 27,000 Azerbaijani students study in Türkiye

Out of 136,000 foreign students studying in Türkiye, 27,000 are Azerbaijani students, stated Serdar Gundogan, Turkish Maarif Foundation's representative for Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Gundogan made the announcement during the panel meeting titled "A More Just World Is Possible" organized within the framework of Stratcom Public Forum by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency.

He also mentioned that 20,000 of the foreign students receive scholarships from the Turkish government:

“The Turkish Maarif Foundation operates in 56 countries, providing education to young people without expecting anything in return. Today, our foundation has become a global education brand, reaching 70,000 students worldwide," the official noted.
