Official: Nearly 11,000 students from 105 countries study in Azerbaijan

In the current academic year, nearly 11,000 students from 105 countries are studying in Azerbaijan, Mujdat Hasanov, head of the International Cooperation Department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, said at an event titled "Internationalization of Science and Higher Education," Report informs.
The department head noted that this figure shows an increase of one thousand people compared to the previous year.
According to him, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Iran are in the top three on the list. Medical, economics, and management specialties are predominant.
"Currently, 981 Azerbaijani students are studying at 140 universities across 21 countries under the state program for foreign education," the department head added.
