An increasing number of young women are applying to participate in the Scientists of the Future competition, according to Elmar Gasimov, Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School.
According to Report, speaking at the opening of the 14th Republican Scientists of the Future competition, Gasimov said this reflects the growing interest among young women in research and science.
"This is truly encouraging. Schoolchildren from various parts of the country come to the competition and, to some extent, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of student life. Presenting and justifying their projects in the competition helps expand their knowledge and hone their skills," Gasimov said, emphasizing the importance of the competition’s sustainability, which has been successfully held for 14 years.
