The Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan wants to introduce teaching Chinese language in schools, Minister Emin Amrullayev said at the 8th ADA International Education Conference, Report informs.
The minister said that if a teacher is invited from another country to teach a foreign language, they should be provided with the necessary salary:
"In Azerbaijan, there is an inflexible system regarding this. We want to introduce the Chinese language in schools. However, for this, there must be a certain number of students in the class. This is how the system works. For example, if I cannot gather 270 students, we will not be able to pay the teacher. We are trying to eliminate these problems."
