Azerbaijani professor Kamal Sultanov may be nominated for international mathematical awards for solving the Navier-Stokes equation, which had remained unsolved for many years, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), Rasim Aliguliyev, said.
According to Report, speaking during a presentation dedicated to the Navier-Stokes equation, Aliguliyev noted that since 1945, Azerbaijani scientists have been gradually building a national school of mathematics.
"Fundamental sciences require significant resources for training specialists; therefore, in my opinion, we must provide maximum support to our scientists," said Aliguliyev.
