Academician: Radioactive substances and dangerous radiation observed in Karabakh and surrounding areas

There are radioactive substances and dangerous radiation in Karabakh and surrounding areas, ANAS Vice-President Academician Rasim Aliguliyev said at the opening ceremony of the republican scientific-technical conference 'Radiological and chemical risks in the liberated territories' dedicated to the 'Year of Shusha'.

According to him, the detection of hidden, invisible risks by scientists and specialists working in the field of radiation, monitoring of radiation safety, construction of maps, and revealing objective reality with the help of modern technologies are among the main tasks as a component of radiation safety of Azerbaijan.
