2 Azerbaijani universities make it to ShanghaiRanking top 500 for first time

Baku State University (BSU) and Azerbaijan University have been ranked in top 500 of the ShanghaiRanking for the first time, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education said, Report informs.
Azerbaijan is represented for the first time by two universities in mathematics in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, which is considered one of the world's most prestigious rankings.
Specifically, Baku State University ranked between 401-500, while Azerbaijan University placed between 301-400.
Azerbaijan is the only country representing the South Caucasus region in this ranking for mathematics.
