The water level in the Kura River has increased by 27 cm, a journalist in Salyan district Emil Mammadov told Report.
According to him, due to the increase in the water level, the Araz River has merged with the Kura River: “The water level in the river has been rising since yesterday. Initially, there was an increase of 27 cm. The reddish color of the water indicates that the Araz River has merged with the Kura. However, the situation in the downstream Neftchala district remains difficult. Since yesterday, the sea waters have started flowing back to the Kura River. We believe that the increase in the downstream will affect the Neftchala part of the Kura River in the next day.”
