During a panel discussion held as part of the Nordic Talks initiative in Baku, Ole Toft, the Danish Ambassador to Türkiye and Azerbaijan, emphasized that his country was in time to recognize the urgent need for a green transition to address the pressing issues of climate change and environmental pollution though the gas and oil economy had undeniably benefited Danish society, according to Report.
"We realized that we could reduce energy consumption, decrease CO2 emissions, and simultaneously maintain a growing economy," Ambassador Toft stated.
Ole Toft emphasized that Denmark plans to continue investing in renewable energy sources so that the country can produce even more green energy and have the ability to export it.
