Number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan’s national parks increases

Overall, 87,542 tourists visited national parks in Azerbaijan during the first 6 months of 2025, according to Irada Ibrahimova, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Report informs.

According to Ibrahimova, this figure is 12 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

"The vast majority of visitors to national parks were local tourists, which is a result of the increased interest of the population in natural areas, ecotourism, and the ecological awareness work being carried out," she stated.

The official also pointed out that Goygol, Shahdag, and Absheron national parks were among the most popular destinations for tourists in the first half of the year.
