New seedling nursery in Jabrayil to be put into operation by end of 2025

A new seedling nursery center, jointly built by Azerbaijan and Türkiye in Jabrayil, is planned to be commissioned by the end of this year, head of the working group on ecological issues, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Vugar Karimov, said at the latest meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Ecological Issues in Khankandi.

Report quotes him as saying the seedlings will be used to restore green areas destroyed by Armenians during the occupation: "Seedlings of various species of trees and shrubs will be grown in this smart nursery, created for the rapid restoration of destroyed green territories."

The deputy minister added that around 2 million seedlings will be grown in this nursery over the course of the year:

"Thus, Türkiye will make a significant contribution to restoring the forest cover destroyed during the Armenian occupation."
