Azerbaijan's Ministry of Ecology, COP29 team hold tree planting campaign

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR), together with the Azerbaijani COP29 team, organized a tree planting campaign.

to Report informs, citing the ministry, that the event took place in the Khojasan settlement in Baku.

Ministry employees, representatives of the COP29 team, and volunteers participated in the campaign. Eldar pines and olive trees adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula were planted.

The purpose of such events, which have been held in Azerbaijan in recent years, is to increase green spaces, protect the environment, improve environmental safety, and fulfill the country's international commitments in the field of climate change.
