Azerbaijan is inviting the world community to take part in the World Environment Day, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Umayra Tagiyeva said at the World Environment Day in Jeju, Report informs.
According to Report, the next World Environment Day will be held in Baku on June 5, 2026.
"As Azerbaijan prepares to host both the World Environment Day 2026 and the World Urban Forum 2026 in Baku, they stand ready to contribute, to collaborate with the international community in sharing knowledge, exchanging best practice, and fostering solutions that create more sustainable, resilient cities and communities.
In this context, they applaud the Republic of Korea for its leadership in smart city development. And today, as Korea hands over the role of host for World Environment Day, it's a great honor for Azerbaijan to take on this responsibility and drive the momentum forward. We warmly invite all of you to join us in Azerbaijan on June 5, 2026, as we continue this important mission together," she noted.
