During this year's autumn planting season, reforestation measures are planned to be carried out on at least 240 hectares of forest areas in Aghdara, Lachin, Zangilan and Jabrayil districts, the head of the working group on ecological issues, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan's Vugar Karimov, said at the next meeting of the Working Group on Ecological Issues of the Interdepartmental Center held in Khankandi, Report informs.
According to Karimov, in accordance with the territorial planning documents of the liberated territories, 55 hectares of new green areas have been created in the Zangilan district, 50 hectares in Jabrayil, 11 hectares in Aghdam and 16 hectares in Fuzuli on land allocated for the creation of green areas:
As part of the plans to clear forest areas from landmines and unexploded ordnance, planting and sowing work was carried out on 72 hectares of forest fund areas in Jabrayil, 142 hectares in Zangilan, 70 hectares in Gubadly, and 2 hectares in Fuzuli.
