Ray Karimoghlu: Those behind Khojaly atrocities must be held accountable

Those responsible for the atrocities committed in Khojaly must face justice, said Ray Karimoghlu, Chairman of the Mine Victims Association, during a visit to the site of a recently discovered mass grave.

According to Report, speaking to journalists, Karimoglu described the shocking evidence found at the burial site, which contained the remains of at least seven civilians.

"This goes beyond the bounds of humanity. The victims were buried without dignity, and their remains show clear signs of brutal torture,” he stated. “What was done by Armenian forces here is nothing less than a war crime."

The mass grave was discovered in April along the Askaran–Khojaly road, one of two such sites recently uncovered in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
