President of Azerbaijan approves functions of state executive officials

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the law “On Executive Officials,” which outlines the functions of state executive officials.

According to Report, under the document, state executive officials shall ensure the prescribed order of operations of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan and the courts within Azerbaijan’s judicial system.

In addition, they shall enforce court decisions in civil cases, commercial and administrative disputes, administrative offense cases, as well as acts of other authorities whose execution is assigned by law to executive officials. They shall also carry out criminal penalties not involving deprivation of liberty and exercise probationary supervision.
